About this course
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice built on balance, relaxation, and the cultivation of internal energy. This course teaches one complete form within that tradition — Immortals Crossing the Sea — under the guidance of Joe Lok, and is a well-suited starting point for newcomers as well as a form worth learning for those already practicing.
Joe Lok's instruction is clear and precise without being complicated. The systematic program works toward correct posture, smooth momentum, and the graceful choreography of the form, with a consistent emphasis on the alignment and energy flow that allow it to be performed with efficiency rather than effort. Whether you are new to Tai Chi or looking to extend your practice, the course is structured to meet you at your level.
The program runs to 26 lessons and roughly an hour and a half of on-demand video, teaching the Immortals Crossing the Sea form. By the end, you will have learned the form and developed a deeper understanding of the principles beneath it.
Included with the course is Joe Lok's book, Immortals Crossing the Sea — Taoist Tai Chi, in PDF format, so that study can continue beyond the video lessons.
